West Virginia Gov. Signs Student Press Law

West Virginia Governor Jim Justice signs Student Journalist Press Freedom Protection Act
On March 23, West Virginia Governor Jim Justice signed the Student Journalist Press Freedom Protection Act. As a result, WV has become the 17th state to adopt this type of legislation, which is known nationally as a "New Voices" law. Further, the law ensures that high school and college student journalists determine the content published in school-sponsored media.
